johnny drawMythbusters – The Kayak Episode at the Aquarena: April 21st, 9 - 10:30 PM

Join Richard Alexander for Mythbuters the kayak Episode. Explore common kayaker believes about what works and what doesn’t when it comes to paddling efficiency. Is there a correct side to edge on? Does most of the turning movement in a sweep stoke happen in the last third of the stroke? Which stroke moves a kayak sideways quickest -- a pulling or sculling draw?  Is it better to edge your kayak toward, away or not at all when performing a draw stroke? This session will help participants refine turning manoeuvres and enhance the power and efficiency of their strokes.

This is a Paddle Newfoundland and Labrador Event.

I was nervous of what would be expected of me. Those fears were quickly put to rest. The course format advocates skills advancement in a fun and enthusiastic way.
